  1. I don’t get how 99% of the zombies on this show make growling noises and
gargle out loud on their own rotting flesh yet when a main character needs
to get bitten from behind suddenly the zombie is quieter than the gallery
at the fucking Masters… Also, let alone to not hear the zombie but to be
stupid enough to let one sneak up on you.

Ruined Tyrese’s death, and it was a stupid choice to kill him off to begin
    with.

  2. I totally agree with Kristian about this episode. They’ve been wasting
Tyrese for a very long time, and his send off while artistic, was cheap as
all hell. Fuck Noah, Father Gabriel, and Mullet man too. If that were my
group, I’d have a policy that if you do some dumb shit that causes another
member to get killed you’re going in the ground next to them.

  3. I guess I’m the only one who loved this episode completely. Brilliantly
done. Agreed about Michonne, first of all; from the moment she says “we
have to stop” I released all the tension that started building in me since
season 4. On the subject of Tyreese (while I agree the “quiet walker” sneak
up was dumb), that’s just what happens. Luck runs out. It’s true, there
could’ve been a much better place to kill him off, but I was alright with
it. He wasn’t built for this world anymore. It’s the first time in a while
that I felt like the emotional core of the show had returned. This hit me
harder than Beth’s death (probably because I knew that was coming) and I
loved that it felt like a short film, it really could’ve been one tbh.

  4. there wasn’t much I liked about this episode. was filmed TOO artistically
imo, all the characters did stupid stuff and no one stopped them or
questioned it, tyrese is cool but he’s been written poorly and
underutilized this whole season imo. they just lowered the bar for the rest
    of the season

  5. Hated this episode. Tyrese gets bitten by ONE random zombie and dies, when
there were MULTIPLE times he has taken out DOZENS of zombies at one time
ALL BY HIMSELF. And how come nobody’s talking about the major plot hole?
Noah leaves Ty to get get “help”. Um…WHY? He was bitten on the ARM, so
his legs STILL WORKED! Had he gone with Noah, then they would have cut off
his arm earlier and maybe he would have survived ._.

  6. Completely agree with you Kristian. Why does the guy who took on a huge
crowd of walkers get taken out by one loud zombie while he’s looking at a
picture? Its so stupid…and why did Tyrese go into the house with a tiny
knife instead of his famous framing hammer? -_______- ugh

  7. It wasn’t until this episode that I realized that Tyrese was a total pussy.
He is a total badass in the comics who killed a gym full of walkers. If
this version of Tyrese was in that situation then he would have been dead
    in 5 sec

  8. I totally agree with Kristin on most points. What killed the episode for
me, however, was the editing. What was with all of that film student
bullshit in the beginning of the episode? Out of focus shots of random
objects? Random shot of the twins, blood dripping on a picture, a drawing
of a happy sun on pavement, etc. It felt like 1st year film student
nonsense and I think that is why the episode felt boring and drawn out in
parts. It is only a 46 minute show. You do not have time to show me a
shot of a photograph 3 separate times. And yeah…I though Noah was being
a big pussy. Also, after everything that the gang has been through, why do
they ALL decide to get all mopey and whiny? This episode was
depressing…not just because of Tyrese, but because all of the other
characters just became real downers…and why? Over Beth?…who they
haven’t even seen in months. NOW they all choose to become nihilistic and
mopey? It just felt out of place. Quit bitching! Carl and Daryl was
supposed to be in this episode. However, they read the script and said,
“Fuck that. We don’t whine.” and chose to stay back with Daryl’s crossbow.

That being said, I loved the cameos and Tyrese’s philosophical struggle
with life, death, and the consequences of his actions. Although his is a
wasted death, I really liked how the show handled it. I just wish the
episode was edited and paced better.

  9. Dudes.. ur absolutely right that its a waste to kill off a main character
for no apparent reason, however you are wrong. Characters are killed off to
make room for other characters to be introed.. so who have they been
teasing that is on their trail and maybe just a couple days behind eh? Will
Morgam be a suitable replacement for Tyrese? Hell yeh!

  10. This was a weak WD premiere, even for a mid-season premiere. This was more
of a middle of the middle episode, much like when Rick met Morgan in the
episode Clear(season 3, 12) – And that was one of my favorite episodes.
*THIS* was not up there, this was weak sauce and even though it bummed me
out killing off Tyrese.. 5 minutes of him hallucinating and even I wanted
to shoot the dude in the head.

What got me excited though was those chopped off legs and arms and *BAM!*
that U-haul filled with walker-torsos with the W:s carved into the
    forehead.. *WHAT!?* Loved it.

  11. It wasn’t a waste on his character. His time was up and if you know the
comics, his time was WAAAAAY up. They’ve already developed him enough and
his character portrait was already painted through from woodbury, to his
rage with Rick’s group, Lizzie and Mika in the Grove and his altercation
with Martin. Throughout the series, Tyreese was the fatal optimist who
wouldn’t let the changing world change himself, unlike others in the group.
And when the time came, he opted to turn the radio (ie. this world) OFF
because he didn’t want to pay this “high cost of living” anymore. Great
    episode.

  12. Everybody was bitching about Tyrese because he wouldn’t fight or kill
anymore calling him useless. Now he gets killed and it’s OMG he was so
important Lmao. No matter what happens on this show people complain…

  13. You guys missed some key Questions & Clues

    1. The Town – What happend to this place? Because it seems like it was
    attacked by people, not walkers.
    2. Decapitated Walkers – there were lots of walkers with their arms and
    legs cut off?
    3. The Bat – I believe Glenn picking up the bat was foreshadowing for Negan
    4. 1 & 3 – Could this town have been attacked by Negan an his People

  14. The Schmoes are back…and so is Walking Dead! Season 5 kicks off it’s
second half with a major surprise…see the boys’ reaction and comment with
    yours!

  15. Kinda agree with Kristian. Thought the the episode structure was awesome
but Tyrese dying from one walker ? its a hard sell. Also i was still
waiting for Tyrese to become the guy everyone was excited about when he was
first introduced. Remember all that hype ? I was under the impression that
they were building him up to possible take over from Rick if Rick ever
beats it or goes crazy again.
Also side note is the episode a Marvin Gaye reference ? Seems like a Marvin
    Gaye reference,

  16. Why did the show just kill off 2 pretty major characters in 2 episodes?
When they should’ve focused on Beth’s death? Don’t get me wrong, it was sad
when Tyrese died, but they should’ve focused more on Beth instead of that.
And also, the way this episode was edited was really weird. It was like
David Lynch was the editor of this episode, with all the flashy stuff all
over the place, the repeating shots at the beginning, it all felt like an
    Arthouse movie.

  17. This episode was one of the worst in the series, by far. Repeated same
shots, the ghosts were just repeating the same shit over and over again,
the special effects looked like a 12 year old just figured out about
photoshop. God damn, they had so much ambiguity with the dialogue from the
ghosts, it made it feel fake, stupid, and they were trying wayy to hard to
    be artistic. Terrible episode.

  18. The whole point in the death is that it can happen to anyone just like how
michonne would have died if she was alone with the walker with the rebar
even if you’re a badass you will slip up sometimes

  19. Kristian THANK YOU!! I slept on it and this morning I realized that I hated
this episode. After all that Tyrese has been through it makes no sense for
him to die that way. Oddly, why didn’t he see his girlfriend in this
episode? You’d think her burned corpse would pay him a visit

  20. Tyrese was my favorite character, after Hershel died. It was pointless to
kill him. If Maggie dies, then I will stop watching it all together. I
loved when Tyrese didn’t kill the guy who held Judith. I HATE the fact
that they still have the father, noah, and mr. mullet man. I 100% agree
    with Kristian on the show,

  21. After watching the recent reruns going back to the first season. The
walker’s ran, I mean they ran fast and they were able to climb over tall
fences. I wonder if there was a decision made by the higher up’s to slow
the walker’s down. Because the difference between season one and two is
    like day and night.
