The Walking Dead makes a fiery return with its Season 5 premiere- No Sanctuary. The secret of Terminus is unveiled as Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Carol, Tyreese, Glenn, Sasha, Bob, and the rest try to make it out alive. Can the problem really be "fixed" as Eugene says? Are the only two options really to be the butcher or the cattle? And are there really any "good guys" left? The show makes one of its boldest, awe-inspiring episodes ever with "No Sanctuary," leaving us curious about what's to come next for the group this season. Where will the group go, and who awaits them?

  1. so rick’s line at the end of the last season was “horrible” to you people
because he said “screwing with” instead of “fucking with”?? that’s a really
superficial thing to have an issue with. to me, it’s not what he said, but
HOW he said it that counts. jesus, people. y’all complain about the lamest
things. this review was pretty frustrating to watch.

  2. Kim Horcher in those boots and jeans….*sigh* (I love Eurasian girls).

Anywho, I like the comments about the episode. Looking forward to seeing it
    today.

  3. “If you’ve read the comics, you were right to be very, very scared at that
moment.” Such “cryptic” references to source materials should probably not
be uttered on a review/recap of the show proper… Not without disclaimers
at least and especially not via the lips of the Mountain and the Viper
    chick. Just sayin…

  4. Christ, people are dumb. How on Earth is everyone so confused about what
Abraham meant when he said about talking to Rick later – its pretty bloody
obvious that he means talking to Rick about going to Washington.

  5. carol was ruthless with the terminus people because she knew they had her
friends as hostages, ie when she sees rick and others man handled out of
train car,and over hearing what that guy was saying on walkie takie , she
put info together and acted on it, none of you reviewers picked up on this
,dont have ago at aspects of episodes when you get your facts wrong

  6. You guys seem to miss a lot of stuff. Carol saw through the scope of her
rifle that Rick and the others were taken away by force. I think that was
before she went all Rambo. It was also clear that the group that
terrorized Terminus was cannibalized by the Terminus group. They didn’t
raze the place and move on, they took it back and turned it into a trap.
That crazy tattooed man that Glen let out of the train car who subsequently
died? He was the rapist from the flashback at the end of the episode. He
was screaming “you’re one of us now!” or something along those lines,
probably referring to the fact they became Monsters themselves.

  7. I agree with John. I get emotional pretty easily during shows but the
reunion of Rick and his baby did nothing for me. But then again I was
pissed that they basically sacrificed an adult woman who can fight (Rick’s
wife) for a baby who is nothing but a burden.

  8. This Walking Dead episode, is so anti-realism and disingenuous it really
bugs me that people rate this show so highly. It really is plot device
after plot device after plot device after plot device, to get the most
ridiculous dramatic affects they can milk in the most repetitive and
ignorant fashion to keep the audience hooked.

The line “you’re either the butcher or the kettle” is so unbelievably dry
and forced into the writing without proper placement simply for excusing
the further dramatic affect of that poorly written character, it makes me
furious to watch such a popular show to have such little integrity and be
praised for its “metaphorical beauty” and production prowess.

It’s overly simplistic, un-intriguing, and absurd and I’ve FUCKING HAD IT
WITH THESE GOD DAMN SLOW ASS ZOMBIES.

Just kidding, over the top-wise. Really though: enjoyable show, no shame in
being entertained because of the stunning production, but not much
    intellectual quality.

    6/10

  9. Why I feel the Terminus Cannibals will become the Hunters from the comic
book. I really enjoy Carol going Rambo/ A one woman A-Team on Terminus.
also happy Morgan is back.. Now I’m worried the group that capture Beth
might be the Saviors. I haven’t read the comics. but something about
Eugene has me off about this alleged cure. still remembering what the CDC
Scientist told Rick that we’re all infected. plus if there were really a
cure they would have found out in the 1st season when they were at the CDC.
Eugene might be simply lying to have them protect him.

  10. Carol heard the guy on the walkie talkie say “I’ll get the kid’s hat after
they bleed him out” or something like that. Forgot exactly what he said but
she knew they were going to kill Michonne and Carl. I think that’s enough
to know that they were bad people and decide to go all out to save your
    group.

  11. Anyone else annoyed as great as that scene was, with them KILLING their
food? I’m sorry, but in the comic they explicity say you DON”T, becuase
they become zombies, so they literally kept the people they ate alive as
long as possible so the bodies didn’t turn Zombie…okay thats maybe too
    grusume but still heh.

  12. Why are you guys saying Carol couldn’t have known the terminus people were
bad? She saw Rick and the rest of the group hog tied and being loaded into
the warehouse. That sounds like enough to validate her killing them..

  13. Carol overheard the radio conversation talking about Michonne and Carl
being prisoners. She also saw Rick and others getting dragged away as she
watched through the fence. That’s more than enough information to act upon.

  14. How many times do you watch the episode before you do the review? I only
ask because you have missed some important points in the episode. I like
your reviews and they are very fun to watch. However, I encourage getting
    the facts right.

  15. i would like the series to start focusing on the search for a cure. i
really hope they start thinking about dealing with that, at least as soon
as the second half of the season begins. i don’t want the show to walk in
spirals once again, it’s going to be hard to tolerate the repetitiveness
now.. anyway, brilliant premieire! i’m again excited

  16. She did have some knowledge, with the talkie and the guy out in the
perimeter there, and then actually seeing Rick and the others getting hurt
    and being all captured.
As people have said it’s a zombie apocalypse show, if I was in that
situation I’d help my friends over random strangers, specially with the
whole past they’ve had with other humans xD

I did feel a little sympathy for the Terminus people after the flashbacks,
buuuut they’re not the ones we’ve followed on the road so far so it’s
difficult to really.. root for them, specially when they nearly killed
    Daryl T^T
